The author told me that I would like this book, and he was not seeing. I fell in love with Rio from page 3, and admired his commitment to his relationship with Trinity. Many tried to make him stay, he has a slip up or two, but continued to protect her and provide for her. He even tried to leave the streets alone, but one fateful night changed all of that, and the rest, as they say…is history.Once again, K'wan did not disappoint his readers with his gift for details and character development. There were a few times I wanted to slap a few characters throughout the book, until I realized they were fictional. And the ending…let's just that I cried like a baby. Good job Mr. Foye!

This is my second read by K'wan and once again I was not disappointed! Kwan draws you in with his colorful characters and doesn't let you go until the last page. Street Dreams is about guy name Rio from the projects who starts off being just nickel and dime dealer from around the way, but when he's approached by Prince, the king of the streets..Rio's lifestyle quickly starts to change for the good for him. But when Prince's oldest son, Truck is released from prison all hell breaks loose out of jealousy.
I instantly fell in love with Trinity(Rio's girlfriend), Shamel(his longtime childhood friend), Sally(his Mom) and Cutty(another one of his friends). Street Dreams is by far one of the BEST books I've read in a long time! K'wan keeps you on the edge of your seat chapter after chapter and snatches your breath away at the very end!
Street Dreams is HIGHLY recommended for readers who love drama, suspense, action, love and edge of the seat writing all in one! (Hoodrat by him also comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!)

This book definitely had it's moments. Sad because no one made it, it's like a whole class/section of people are extinct now. Who's going to carry on? Joyful bcuz Cutty, Rio & Trinity had good hearts but we're victims of their environment...
This book started off slow, but really picked up. I really enjoyed this book. U did your thing K'WAN. Great job.
I'm going back to read the older books by Kwan andSurprise ending out of this world...on some Romeo and Juliet type ish...kwan u did that...I'll admit I started doubting the book in the beginning but as soon as I did things started happening I love how u start with the simple things and next thing u know every thing u described starts tying into each other...I kept trying to predict what would happen next but then u throw in another curve ball....great job and thumbs up...kwan u did it again
K'wan really did a great job on this one. This is my first time reading a book by this author, but i will definitely be buying all the other ones. K'wan presents Rio who is very smart kid who's loyalty put him on the wrong track. Still he tries to do right and find an honest job, but how many criminals really find decent jobs. Tired of all the turn-downs he turns to the street but only part-time until unexpected circumstances gets himself into a situation he cant get out of. So he calls on the only person he knows that can help him. But favors dont come cheap. In the beginning being a full-time Capo for Prince seemed sweet with all the money that was rolling in finally he thought his dreams would come true and he would be able to provide a better life for him and Trinity. But of course it never works out that way. Snitches will bring down your whole empire, and the price to pay is death!!!!........EXCELLENT READ I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS ONE
For some reason I didn't read this until I had run out of K'WAN's books and it actually was one of the best. I got hooked on the author and looking forward for some new releases.
Big rims, tricked out cars, multicolored diamonds on necks and wrists, and fast women can be enticing to ex felons who can't get a decent job because of their criminal background. K'wan shows that behind the glits and glamour of being a dope boy super star, there's plenty of scheming and betrayal. This story illustrates that u can't be a good guy in a dirty game and unfortunately for many drug pushers, they find out too late that the drug game is really fools gold
